Mine take most of Monday to get back in routine. They aren't so much a problem as much as I have learned just to have a looser structure on Monday in terms of what I plan for them so I can pick and choose from activities according to moods and tiredness. Naptime is usually longer as they make up for a busy weekend. I find by Friday they are often the same and either need to be left alone to play or totally told what to do with me led stuff. I now plan my lessons to be T, W, Th and we play M and F by ear.
I don't mind Monday's as with sone of the other posters I find they nap longer and they are excited to see their friends again and play with different toys ....
Haha, this is me too, refreshed on Monday usually and really tired at the end of the week. As for the children in my daycare, I think they thrive on our routine days and are pretty consistent every day. I don't notice any changes from Mon-Fri at all. I just keep them really busy and active every morning and they are really tired every afternoon and sleep pretty well. I know I'm lucky and may run into problems one of these days.
Well today (Tuesday) was the day from hell .... I definitely liked yesterday better. ; )
