Holding a Spot during Covid-19
This is a strange situation. During this surreal situation with the Covid-19, I have so far been able to keep 2 children out of 4. The third child left because mom is going on maternity shortly and her hours were greatly reduced at her work from home. The fourth child is the one that has me perplexed. The father is an essential worker and the mom works from home (she's a writer of sorts). He has not been at my daycare since March 16. I let her know I am open with the other two in attendance however, she insists on keeping him home. I reduced her payment by half (this was a personal choice and not an issue), but now I wonder if she's taking advantage of this reduction. I am basically holding a spot for her son, not knowing if he's ever going to attend my daycare again. My question is should I confront her with the choice to terminate (this Covid-19 is not going anywhere anytime soon), or should I just ride it out. I feel a third child in attendance would benefit the other two, but at the same time I am afraid of bringing a stranger into the house. Any help would be great.
