See you later ladies. This is freaking stupid. I was one of the first providers to join this forum, and truly enjoyed giving my expertise to others who were just starting up, and learning from...

If you're looking into opening up a Center in Ontario, please go to this website, which explains the DNA - Day Nurseries Act. All information will be here....

I took in a ECE student for her placement. Call up the High Schools and Colleges and tell them you're interested in having a student come to learn more about running a home daycare!
But the...

Check out on Daycarebear.ca website (here) and enter in your postal code. This will bring up all the providers who have spaces available as not all of the providers are on this forum.

Nope. No discounts. You chose to have kids, so then you have to pay for them!!!! lol :)
Why should I take a cut in MY salary to care for YOUR kids?! No thanks....

Not on here much either, but I now have my own DD 7 months to care for in my spare time!

Essentially, if I'm open you pay. If I'm closed (minus Stat holidays), you don't pay.

I say something in my manual that my clock is set to the Ottawa Weather Network, and to please make sure that yours is set as well.
Never had anyone come early. If someone did, I would refuse to...

I would give the notice tonight for sure. Why should other kids get bullied by this child, let alone yours?! Sorry that you're going through this.
What a pain in the butt. TERM!

1. You have a contract/manual for a reason! Enforce it! :) I don't care if she's sick or not, I'm open, they pay!
2. I don't care for people who don't understand the word no. She's contagious,...

I personally would not take them. My reasons:
- I do not take children with food allergies
- They're asking you to open earlier than your normal hours of operation
- She (the mom) seems like a...

OP: What Province are you in?
Here in Ontario, according to the DNA, all children MUST have quiet time for minimum an hour.
So, if she worked in a center before, she of all people should know...
