My hours were 7:30-4:30. Most days I only had kids here from 8-4. I thought that I would have a difficult time finding families, but I actually didn't at all.

I agree with you. The paycheck is NOT an added bonus. Most providers, provide care BECAUSE it is a way to have a paycheck and stay home with their own kids.

I would not refund the deposit. You get a deposit to protect yourself from this type of situation.
