Caregiver's paid personal days for new parents

I'm just wondering if any of the daycare operators here charge for stats? I've been thinking of doing this for clients that come at least 3 days per week and also only if the stat is their regularly scheduled day. Is this accepted practice in most daycares?
And is this legal? Thank you in advance.

Yes, a lot of Ontario providers charge for Stats. It is becoming common practice.
Is it legal - its all in the wording. State "paid closures" then list the days closed instead of stating paid stats. As self-employed individuals, we are not supposed to charge for stats/vacation time.
