He has not let go of the fact that I left a great paying job to stay home with our 3 children but I dont regret it for a second.*
Hi, if you add the total amount in fees for three children in daycare, maybe then he will see that your decision was made right. Also do not forget when you work out of home there are many factors involved (I did my math), ex. Transportation has a cost (bus or your own vehicle which slso comes with more expenses insurance, mantenance, l8censing fees, gas and parking fees etc), your own outfits (I have noticed it is basically a job demand as they say dress for success;0) and that comes with a price), the commuting time and the time you prepare yourself before leaving home (hair dos, make up even your coffes and lunches factor all that in your expenses) another thing to consider; when you go back home after a work day; you must have the enervgy to: deal with a hungry family at home (many women get orders or meals that are ready which slso has a cost); then have the energy if your kids go to school; to help them with their homework or school responsibilities. And then get them ready for bed.

Leaving you hardly enough time to connect with them and weekends are in most of the cases dedicated to do house work, groceries or catching up with things you weren't able to do during the week (some studies even show that lately due to Internet many people take their work to home , especially those high paid and high demand jobs). We live in a highly competitive world. Lot of stress, mental issues and depression has increased.

Having your own children growing up in hour own home beside you has its own great benefits (and you know, not many families have that option). You are and represent the balance of a mom that is always at home and backs them up every day.

Maybe you do not see munch profit right now but as your own children age out and if you continue then your income will increase or you can always go out to work when your children are old enough.

    Thank you for this!!
I actually work decent hours but spend anywhere from 2-4 hours commuting. It’s terrible! I’m lucky that my hubby cooks the kids and I dinner but unfortunately I’m not home at an early enough time to eat with them
At most, I have an hour before bedtime but it’s normally closer to 1/2 hr and with 2 young children, that just isn’t how I want to live my life.

Thank you for all of your very positive, kind and reinforcing responses! These are all just what I needed to hear.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
