If you are using a name for your daycare you are supposed to register it and there is a fee that used to be $80 to do it. A lot of home daycares just use a name and don't register it. If you did register it then you would have to go through the channels to basically close the one and open a new name. If you didnt' register then just stop using the old name and start using the new name.
If you are changing the name because of something negative you might want to rethink because it will come across like you are trying to hide something. If you are changing the name because it goes with the new theme or program you have then you could also include the old name in your ads saying something about welcome to the your new daycare - formerly named ..... then your reputation is more likely to follow you so it depends on which you want to happen I guess.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
