Ya I agree - while I had to do that in centre care at the request of the Health Unit - it is the parents job in THIS setting now ours

I am with the others though that at this age and stage 'loose' stools can still be normal for various reasons .... stress adjusting to a new setting, new foods, teething and so forth.

I have one who is two next month who has yet to have a solid poop here - he poops two-three times a day shortly after meal time and 'mush' ... now my guess he had a dairy intolerance too but the Dr says he is 'fine' so what can you do ... loose stools and exema sound fine to me .

Now if they were exploding out of the diaper and even MORE frequent than that than I would categorize it as diarrhea and excluding for sure.

This is also prime Rotavirus season so your own family could have contracted that in addition to this little boys 'normal but loose' poops.
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
