    I think with young kids though, there can often be undigested bits of food...especially if they are eating things like corn or raisins (another thing I don't serve unless it is baked in something). I agree with Playfelt...I don't consider the child ill unless it is more frequent or more runny than usual and there are some other signs. However, I did have a child return on Monday last week after having gastro over the weekend and within half an hour of arriving he had a big runny poop and was miserable...I sent him home rather than risk exposing the others and myself to the nasty bug.

    I watch for the signs that playfelt mentioned as my experience has shown that these things are signs of someone getting sick on me.
