I added 3 PAID personal days into my contract a few years back to use as sick days. But I've only ever used one of those days. I also added Easter Monday as a paid day off because it isn't a stat for everybody. But it's a great day to make a doctor's appointment because most of them are open. Since I take 3 weeks off unpaid for vacation every year I make sure I'm available for the parents all the rest of the year and want to have a reputation as a very reliable caregiver.
