OH.MY.GOD!!!!! They would not be coming in my door tomorrow morning. My contract states that verbal or physical abuse by child or parent is cause for immediate termination. Add on the lying from the child, the poop that you must have had to scrape off your bathroom and the really, really bad parenting on the part of the Mom and you have about a dozen reasons to call her and terminate now and tell them they forfeit their deposit too! Holy crap! BIG HUGS!

Sometimes having a camera can work wonders. Wonder what mom would say to being emailed a picture of her kids with the toilet paper and poop on them holding onto the door - just proof no more chance to lie.

Thank you all. I it's been tough as it's the first time I've had to terminate. The younger sibling is so sweet and I am really sad to see her go, but it is for the best. So very, very sad though that mom fails to see the problem with the situation. I agree, she is not raising an "independent and strong woman" but she is teaching her little girl to be manipulative, dishonest, disrespectful and spiteful. I stuck it out as long as I could because I knew there wasn't much guidance at home and I thought maybe, just maybe, I could be a postive and consistant presence for these children and hopefully make a difference, but I did the best I could. I'm not their parent. It just really shows you how important it is to be a positive role model because kids pick up EVERYTHING! I really wanted to do immediate termination, but I wanted to honor my contract of 2 weeks notice(I also state immediate dismissal for terrible behavior from parent or child) but I wanted to try to give her a chance to find altrnate care, although if there is one more outburst or disrespectful incident, they're outta here. I just want to shake this mother. so sad. Anyhow, peace IS around the corner for us and I am so looking forward to it. Thanks for all the positive thoughts and energy! Most parents are so great, but this one really takes the crazy cake.

I can't even...I don't even....what do I...there are no...WTF!!!! I CANNOT believe that!!!! Honestly, if someone - let alone a 7 years said that to me, I would have a hard time not kick dropping her haha that is insane. I have no advice lol all I have to say is that that is ABSOLUETLY ridiculous, and if it makes you feel any better, that kid is going to have a hell of a time finding new care. WOWOWOWOWOW

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
