Kids say the funniest things!
At random, my 4 year old DCG informs me that "her dad wears boxers". So cute these kids.
Children are great imitators.
So give them something great to imitate.

Awesome! My pal's soon to be 3 year old came out with my favourite:
C comes downstairs after having dressed herself, and has a vertical striped shirt with plaid pants, but both garments are of similar colour scheme. Her mother says, "Oh my word, C! What are you wearing?? Would you like to perhaps let me help you choose something different?"
Miss C looks confused and says, "But why, mommy? I rhyme!"

@ Lou! hahahaha
My husband is a big baseball fan and I am NOT. I mean I like it but unless I'm AT the game, no thanks! It so bad that we had cable hooked up in the basement tv so I can watch somethings as well. Last night after giving DD a bath we come down for her to play for a few more min...she walks into the livingroom, sees the tv and says "Oh no! baaaaayyballl" then runs away!

I posted this once before on another thread but I give it another go ....one evening at the dinner table my 4 yr old daughter asks "when I grow up can I say bad words? ". My husband responds "absolutely not .... Not if you want to be a lady". My 7 yr old son pipes up and says " well what if she wants to be just like mom?". I love my kids !

Oh thanks for the giggles ladies - I agree children's view of the world is one of the reasons I've been at this so long - they keep us young at heart and remind the soul what's important!!!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

Yes, thanks everyone! I felt like my last bunch of posts were the complaining/venting kind. It is those funny, random moments that some days are what keep me chugging along

The funniest one I had happen over the last few years was when I had a little boy and little girl toilet training at the same time. I asked the little boy to move over because the little girl needed to sit. He said 'Yes I know girls have to sit because they have petunias.'
Ok, I can't even plant petunias in my garden any more! As soon as I see them at the garden centre I crack up.
