    First post!

    Hello Everyone,
My husband and I are opening a daycare centre. It will be the only daycare centre in town and it's badly needed. We live in a small town in Central Alberta.

We have begun renovations and plan to open in July, we've received a few registrations, but not as many as I had hoped. Having said that, we only started advertising in the past week or so.

Anyway, looking forward to chatting with everyone and receiving/giving support when needed.

    WAHM

    Congratulations on your new endeavor!

I am not familiar with Alberta - for future reference in how to give advice is your centre in a designated space with the 'home' or in a totally separate location?
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies.
Reggio: It is in a seperate, commercial location. Not in my home.

Awesome - you are truly courageous ... I helped to open two centres over my career it takes a LOT of dedication and patience for sure ... so many learning curves!

    Children are great imitators.
So give them something great to imitate.

Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
