Like Spixie said, I don't like names that everyone in the class has. Although Emily is quite popular, we don't know any in our area! Thanks again, I think I've read every name book and web listing and am just seeing the same things over and over so nice to have suggestions from non family members!
That's what these two teachers on my street said too but I didn';t want to scare you by saying it - lol

i know what you mean about the names reminding you of someone. It took me and my husband 8 1/2 months to find a name for my son. My husband also tries to find something that rhymes with the name that could be used on the playground lol Here are some names that I really like
Callie
Cobie
Ellie
Ella
Ella May
Kristin
Maggie
Holly
Molly
Hannah
Lulu - this is more of a nick name but I LOVE it lol
Morgan
You could try coming up with an original name using letters from your and your husband's names. Sounds pretentious, but you could some up with something original and beautiful. Or you could try finding a last name that could used as a first name.

I thought of another one .... Willow ..... I know ... I said I liked plain names but I do think that is pretty ... And I do like Ainsley and Addison and Andrea ..... My husband did the same thing .. If he could rhyme or make fun of the name out the window it would go....He knows a lot of rhymes !!!!! My favorite boy name is Steven but he knew someone with that name that he didn't particularly like so it remained unused. Of all the names you mentioned above my favorite is Kristen ; )

Oh wow, really pretty names! I heard a Mom on the bus calling her child Willow about a month ago, and another one called her child Echo. I was thinking, hey man, we're back in the 60's!!
I have a current daycare Mom who just named her baby daughter Sloane and an ex-client who still visits often who just had a baby daughter and named her Scarlett. Those are both pretty and different.
