    They're dropping like flies!

I sent my first dcg home on wednesday with a fever and rash (what we thought was HFM, but turns out just a virus) My second one went home yesturday with a temp of 101 and today the final one crashed about an hour ago with a temp of 102.

3 sick kids but a friday afternoon off for me. I think I'll spend this bright sunny day doing a throurough cleaning of the daycare room. LOL

It's that time of year! I just finished a three night stay at the hospital with both my children due to a nasty gastro-intestinal virus they had. My poor daughter couldn't keep anything down for days. My son wasn't as bad, but still I had to close the daycare down for a couple of days. One of my dcg's was sick last week too right before my kids were sick.

So many people have said that while we enjoyed a mild winter we would be paying for it this spring with illness because germs normally killed off by the frost were allowed to spread and multiply instead. Hope everyone is feeling better soon and you stay healthy enough to care for them. Nothing worse than being a sick mommy and having to take care of sick kids.

My almost 8 month old hasn't kept anything down all day. We are both on our third change of clothing (she keeps puking ON me). Bleggghhh.
I have 3 new kids starting on Monday, of course.
    Sending everyone "healthy" vibes!!

Yes, I said that! I worked in a medical lab for many years and I remember every spring after a mild winter we had to work overtime nonstop because crazy amounts of people were going to the doctor for swabbing of the throats/nose/etc. and extra bloodwork to rule out anything more serious.

I know how you all feel...both my own kids just came down with strep throat A day off for me, but not enjoyable when they both cry every time they try to swallow something Looking forward to summer!

Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."
