I would advertise and interview... get a good solid wait list going for that spot. If they choose to stay with you then you can just let the other clients know that the position has been filled, if not, you're prepared for them leaving. I always ask my mat leave clients to give me a commitment 3 months before they go as I know a lot of people try to have daycare lined up 3 months ahead of time.

I'm just worried about letting their secret out before they want to. Once I post openings, someone they know and or other daycare parents might ask and then what do I say.
I want to know my answer now but, don't want to be the one to spilll their news????
