kangaroomama - Sounds like hand foot and mouth to me. once they are over the fever the worst is over. my kids had that earlier in the year.

apples - one of my children had this too. not bad at all. looks so much worse than it feels

Yes, it turned out to be Hand Foot and Mouth disease! My daycare has been closed since Friday as my doctor said it is still contagious until all the spots are gone. Two of my dck's have it now too, but so far everyone else is okay and they appreciate my caution. I have a friend whose kids had it and her doctor said to send her child back to school after a couple of days...now wonder these things spread all over the place so quickly!

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
