Bumps

I'm thinking allergic reaction?? I have one of my little guys who started this yesterday at home. Mom advised me at drop off that this little one would be bumps raise like a allergic reaction and then go away and then show up somewhere else on his body. it wasn't all day but showed up in the morning and then again in the evening.
Didn't bother him and seems to not bother him today either.
I've just seen this where bumps just show up, get big and red and then go away within 5 minutes and then reappear somewhere else.
Nothing new introduced at his home other than a toy they got and didn't wash down and thinking maybe the old varnish but nothing new here.

Any thoughts what it might be? I'm worried about nap time but, apparently he napped at home yesterday and no problem at all with his breathing yesterday and I've seen nothing wrong with his breathing either.
I just saw his eye swell up when he had a bump between his eye and nose but then went down after 5 minutes. do you think these could be inside too that we can't see?? Am I over reacting

Sounds like a classic case of hives.

It is an allergic reaction but you may never know to what. If it started at home mom will have to look for things like changes in laundry detergent, wearing clothes that haven't been washed yet, new foods such as raw foods not eaten before. Outside any number of bushes, plants, insect contact, something in the soil.... As I said you may never know what caused them.

He should be given benydryl allergy formula. That will help to control the histamines raging around in his body right now. Won't stop the hives but should slow them down. At the same time not an issue if he doesn't get it.

Encourage him to drink and pee lots as that may flush some of it out of his system but no guarantees.

My kids on occasion get hives for no explicable reason. I mean, I am sure they are reacting to SOMETHING, but we can't always figure out what.
They also get them if they are getting over a virus. Has he been sick lately? This happened to my oldest daughter yesterday, actually. She is getting over a nasty cold and broke out into a rash on her torso.
If it itches him, then I would say give that Benadryl (or get mom/dad to), for sure. If it doesn't seem to bother him, it gets better or doesn't get worse, and it isn't spreading; then I would likely just leave it be.

My daughter had this exact same thing when she was 2...her feet/hands swelled up so badly that her nursery school called us & we ended up at the childrens hospital. They couldn't tell what caused it but prescribed an epipen just in case, sent her for allergy testing which turned up nothing. For a month after the initial swelling, she would randomly get hives in different spots which would go away with benedryl. The allergist said it was probably just viral & not to worry & we've never had it happen since.

This little one is new to us and he is week 3 and cries on and off and can't figure out what triggers it. He has quite the scream as well...
He seems to be a little extra upset today but then throw in teething and you have a little one having a rough day!! It's so strange how it comes and goes and took a picture for his mom to see his poor face go all red in different spots and his eyes swelled slightly. Now it's gone.
I called Mom to advise her I have Benadrill for children but she is feeling just to leave it if it's not bothering him....I just don't know him well enough yet to figure out if it is.

So different matter but hope to get your thoughts. This little one was in a daycare before, and asked not to return as he was crying all the time. I've had him now for 3 weeks and he does have quite the scream but figured out a few things about his personality that seem to trigger him getting bent quick. Hunger, tired normal things but, yikes the scream and unless you pick him up, he won't stop. Pick him up and he is like a switch that stops and is happy as a clam.
Any suggestions ...other than swaddling him. I don't do that and hats off to those of you who do!
