This is what I figure too. I mentioned to mom at PU that we had some rough moments but all-in-all she was great! Mom did say she freaks out if no one is in eye sight. Mom then turned to baby and said "we have to practice more alone play this week, missy" I'm starting to really like them! HAHA I also suggested Camilia, I used it with my daughter and it was night/day moments!

I don't know that I would physically pick her up, that's a whole other habit. But some physical reassurance, like a back rub, or sitting right by her with your legs touching or some such thing.
Sounds like mom is great, so far!! Best of luck...

Thanks Mom-in-Alberta.....I don't want her to be crying but Im also not able to carry her around all day, and knowing that mom doesn't either backs up my 'feelings'.

It was only day one - next week I'll have her all day Wed & Thurs. I know she's just a baby so I don't just leave her there crying. I made sure she could see me at all times, if I was prepping food she was w/ toys on the kitchen floor, or living room or playroom etc. I would sit by her and play but unless she was ON my lap she'd cry (little bugger). I'm going to continue to do this and see how she does....I also already heard the difference of her cries. Between the Grrr one and Help one, when it was a help one (like when my DD accidently dropped the baby gate, she got starttled) I'd hold her. When she calmed down I'd put her back down to pay.......Fingers crossed!
