Swimming Diapers?
For those of you who have the parents bring swimsuits for their children, do you have them supply swimming diapers too? Or, do you just leave them in their regular diapers? Just thinking my parents might start grumbling if I ask them to supply more items lol...(not that they have to supply more than the necessities).

Last year I bought a jumbo box and paid for it myself. That way I had the ones I wanted, I had control over who wore them and when, etc. I still have some left over and I had up to 4 kids in diapers last summer!
If they are actually going to be standing or sitting in water (like a kiddie pool or what have you) I wouldn't have them go in the diaper. Too many times I have seen the diaper explode (the little crystals inside pop the exterior of the diaper) and that's a disgusting mess!! If it's sprinkler fun, and just pouring water from bowls and buckets etc then diapers should be okay.

The last few summers I asked the parents to supply a swim diaper each day we were going to a splashpad or the few days I was brave enough to fill up the kiddie pool. The children are all different sizes so I wouldn't want to buy them.

I ask parents for this. It's for their child to do something special, so I don't see why they'd be unhappy about it. Pop a couple in their bag..that's it, that's all.

We only do splash pads and sprinklers so I have found swim diapers unnecessary. the thing to be aware with swimdiapers is that they do not absorb pee, so if they wear it on the way home, it will leak out and you will have pee in your stroller or worse, in your car seat! They are really meant to contain poop in a pool situation or, as someone else mentioned above, if they are going to be sitting in water then regular diapers absorb too much! Many of my kids wear cloth, so no chemical diaper explosions at least!

Euphoric !
Yup - parents supply the swim diapers if needed - some kids are fine in a regular diaper cause they do not really like the 'water' so do not get soaking wet and other kids NEED one to prevent the diaper from exploding all over the splash pad on me!
If the kid NEEDS a swim diaper and client does not want to spend the extra money on them - I just bring extra diapers to the splash pad and when the kids starts to get too full I change him up into another diaper to prevent the explosion and when I need more diapers 'faster' and the parent questions I just explain ya sorry this is why i requested the swimmer because the regular diaper fills up to be 30 pounds and your child cannot walk and it is a sanitary issue if it explodes so I have to change him 3 times extra a morning when we go to the splash pads ... and than next week they will send more diapers AND a packages of swimmers
While there are some things I will supply out of pocket cause it makes my life easier however diapers are not one of them cause as mentioned everyone wears different sizes and so forth and well diapers are the clients responsibility!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

Expansive...
Yup, I have my parents supply swimmers diapers. Especially for this hot week! None of my parents have ever complained. It's something fun for their children to do!

My parents supply swimmers and they are all glad to do it .... Most have them at home anyway.

Starting to feel at home...
Luckily my client base all seems to be more of the "crunchy granola" type like me and have left cloth swim diapers here for me to use whenever I need them. They're the same thing I use for my son and *if* someone doesn't happen to have one, I have several in assorted sizes he's grown out of. I would just pop one of those on the child who didn't have.
However if they hadn't left me cloth diapers I would expect the parents to provide regular swim diapers. In my contract is states that diapers and wipes are to be supplied by the parent as well as anything on the "seasonal supply list" I send home. One of these clauses would be certian to cover swim diapers.

I don't ask for them as we are never going to be in more than a few inches of water and they really aren’t necessary!
