Yup ~ not only is this an issue of ust being entertained all the time by adults who feel the need to plan and stimulate them every minute of the day but even when they are 'busy' so it is not the adult able to do it than it is the toy doing the 'work' for them as they sit in front while it makes noise and lights up and so forth or the TV or what not with the bells and whistles.

I do not have issues in my program for long ~ cause I wont do it ... they just get pointed towards the options out in the playroom and told 'go choose something to PLAY with'.
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."
