Well wonders never see! I hope this changes things (but my heart says give it two weeks and it'll go back...sorry). I hope youd don't have to terminate....it's not fun but we do what we HAVE to do.
Satisfaction Guaranteed or Double Your Kids Back!!
Oh that is a tough one ~ sadly I think for many people they only follow the 'rules of society or others' when not following them impacts THEM personally and in a negative manner ... we seem to have less and less people who follow the rules because it is the RIGHT thing to do ... because it shows respect and value of those whose rules they are .... which is why we have to have such STUPID consequences such as termination will occur if you forget your kids milk cause apparently your kid going THIRSTY is not motivation enough to get your act together and provide what is needed to the person caring for them in your absence
Here is hoping that FINALLY this was their wake up call and if NOT than you have iniitialed handbook that SHOWS they were explained and told about expectations and your next letter can be that 'care is being terminated immediately based on X infraction'
Good luck!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."
I was going to say that written warning can sometimes backfire (in a sense) and the family may very well leave because of it instead of changing what they're doing. That's been my experience anyway. People would rather leave a situation (in our case, daycare) than change their or their children's behaviour. I don't understand that way of thinking but people do it.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
