    Unhappy Losing my Mind :(

My 10 Month old knows how to go from belly to sitting position but has done it for the first time in her crib when I put her down at 1pm for her afternoon nap. The first 15mins or so I watched her having fun on the monitor. After that she cried and bum scooted around in her crib because she couldn't lay back down. I know it's best to let them be so they learn to get down on their own and/or not do it again. But when I go in and lay her down she sits up again and cries.

I feel terrible. What do I do? I don't want her to be so upset but I also don't want her to learn that if she does this I will go in and help her to sleep. (She goes to sleep on her own)

    Help Please!

Tough one ~ my inclination would be to keep going in and lying her down saying 'time to lie still' as the message the expectation while in your cribs that it is not time to be practicing up and down it is time to SLEEP ... might take her a while to 'get it' though since she seems to be wanting to practice getting up.

I have this issue when the learn to 'stand' in the crib too and just keep standing up and than crying cause they've not figure out the down thing and get freaked out.
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

I knew to do that too!!!!!! It was just shoved to the back of my head!!!!! Now it's too late though....she finally got down and fell asleep. I feel bad, I should have gone back in to lay her down but I know for next time!
