I have to agree with you kidlove. I worked outside the home all my life for other people at big companies where I was just a #, making money for somebody else and I've never been happier since I decided to be self employed as a daycare provider. Now I'm investing in me! I get to choose wonderful families and cut the bad ones out of my life. I get to be happy and as stress-free as possible because I am in control of the rules and contract and who I work with and yes I am working with these parents and children. I only choose nice people to be in my life now.
There are always going to be problems but I solve them one by one and don't let anything build up anymore to get on my nerves. It's the best way to keep my life and my business running as smoothly as possible. And once in a while on a rainy morning like this I can get the children engaged in a lot of different activites and go onto my computer and take some time to go slowly. This is the first time all week I have taken some time to go slowly and I don't feel guilty at all. I'm about to go get the painting started though.

Glad to know there are so many out there like me! Sometimes feel like such a "simple" freak for finding something so little that makes me so happy. (guess thats just the worlds point of view though) to people like you and me, taking care of kids isnt "little". keep up the HAPPY work!

This is the first time I have really seen any "results" to all my hard work! (Besides naps) and it made me SO happy. It really made me realize how much I LOVE being with kids and how f***ing good at it I am haha

No kidlove you are so right, I've said all my life that I just want a 'NORMAL' life! The problem was that I worked outside the home all my life for other people with nasty, horrid co-workers and had to move about 100 miles per hour all night to get everything done at home and for my children and ready for the next day. It was complete insanity and I missed so much time with my children.
Now that I work at home and I'm the boss I finally feel normal and happy and contented. I like things very simple.
