    Phone Interviews

I often have people leave messages for me on my answering machine if I can't get to the phone during the day, or if we're outside. I'm just curious, for returning these calls and doing phone interviews, what is the earliest in the morning and the latest at night that you think it's acceptable to be calling?

9 am to 8:30pm. I follow the rule that any hour I wouldn't want to get a call from a stranger I won't place one to a stranger.

I don't answer my phone during the day. I have call display which helps and only answer it if it's my family or a friend or a daycare parent. I'm extremely busy around here but want to make sure I take calls if it's important. Usually my family and friends know that they shouldn't call me during the day.

So I would return the phone call regarding an interview after work up until about 9pm. I'm not a morning person so that's not an option for me and I think most people are really busy in the morning so I wouldn't even try to call then.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
