When children are new I do lots of cuddling whenever I can because the poor little guys are scared and confused and it takes some time for them to feel safe and to trust me. Imagine being stuck all of a sudden in a strange place with strange faces! Think about how you feel, even as an adult when you have to go into a new job or other situation with all new people.

So at naptime I do sit beside their playpens and lay them down over and over if necessary and rub their backs a bit but I don't pick them up again. They have to learn that there is no option other than to go to sleep. Ugh! Good luck and may patience surround you!
