My main problem was that I have an apartment sized fridge so when I say there was no room for food for me I'mean NO room with 5 lunchpails. We all have very different setups and we all do what works best for us. Experimenting and trial and error is the way I learned this job.

Mama_mia and Crayola kiddies- I too do the whole "that's what's for lunch and that's it" and I don't have a problem with that. What I DO have a problem with is wasting food EVERYDAY. I am excited about the change and glad I was able to make that change in my daycare I work with great families

What you can do about the no room issue, is to provide a small basket for each child for just the food that needs to be refrigerated. The rest stays in the lunch kit. Works well.
