    Meal Time Line

So at meal time I put the babies in hightchairs and the older kids sit at a kid size table. The problem is the the older kids eat really slow, and the babies finish first and fuss if i try to keep them in the chairs and if i were to let them out they try to grab stuff off the big kid table. I was thinking should i set a time line for meals and snacks? I can feed the babies and be done in 15-20 mins. Would this be a good aloted time for the big kids too? After that take the food a way? What do you ladies do?

I leave the baby in the high chair. He has to learn to be patient and this is the only way. I give him food slowly too, a bit at a time so he doesn't choke it all down at once. If he's getting fussy and ready to leave and he's eaten a sufficient amount I will usually throw a cracker or something he can handle his way to keep him occupied a little bit longer.

In my house, you leave the high chair when I say not when they say!

I agree with the other ladies. Crackers or cheerios to keep them occupied.
