when ever I have to go to the Dr or my kids do, I just let everyone know I need to close early for an "appointment"....don 't tell them what for....none of their business.

You can always mention that there will be days you have to close 15 min early due to another commitment. They don't have to know why.

Thank you all for the good advice Honestly it is a very personal thing. I'll just mention the doctors appointments.

You are going to have to tell the clients that you have to close 15 minutes early sometimes for important appointments. But you don't have to disclose personal information about yourself or your family. Maybe after they have been with you for months and months and you have built a good rapport you might decide to tell them but it's none of their business as long as it doesn't affect their families.
