If she is fine every other day than I would be wondering what do they do on Thursday NIGHT?
Does she have an extra curricular activity like ballet or swimming or something that disrupts bedtime routine ~ could be she is just over tired as a result?
Also Playfelt theory would be another to investigate what is mom saying on Friday mornings at drop off that is DIFFERENT that might cause the behaviour?
I know it is hard to see kids sad ... but sometimes giving them the space and permission to BE SAD is the best thing we can do for them ... if she seems to need some quiet alone time I would offer her a safe place to have that if it does not impact the safety and enjoyment of the other groups activities than IMO there is no harm in her doing something different at that time of day?
Hopefully just 'ignoring' it will make the behavior disappear quicker?
