LINKS to sites you've found useful crafting themes etc

    Hey everyone,
I've been out of the scene for about 4yrs now (separated from my husband and moved in with my parents) just moved in with my fiance and we're opening a daycare hopefully up and running by jan/feb 2013 ... anyhow on my old computer I had lots of bookmarks of sites with crafts songs games recipies etc ... but well don't have that anymore! I thought it would be great to have a thread with links to sites you use for your crafts! Name of site, blurb about the site, link of the site, perhaps a link to your favorite craft ... song ... game... recipe as well
    Thanks
    Kelly

Oh there are millions of sites. Whatever my theme I google for crafts, songs, games for toddlers and I always get lots of ideas.

Think we're missing the point ... for instance put www.pinterest.com its an online pinboard
as for google ..well ya I know google just want ppls favs that they keep going back to.. figured it would be easier in a list form near the top of the discussion... too many posts ... so if this has been asked already sorry ... just don't have time to read a million posts

I too often just google and pinterest as needed...but here's a few good ones....http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/bsnss/tp.../menu-eng.html (Rev can link for tax time), http://www.ot-mom-learning-activities.com/ (activities to encourage Motor skill development), http://handsonaswegrow.com/30-homema...-for-the-kids/ (homemade kids crafts), http://www.thedaycarelady.com/ (free daycare forms; use/print hers or use as a guideline to mod. your own), http://www.5dollardinners.com/catego...kly-meal-plan/ (when I go blank on meal ideas).

Lol...I have to add...when I read your comment "Think we're missing the point..."...I had a picture come to my head of you with your hands on your hips...scolding us as daycare children...too funny.

    Children are great imitators.
So give them something great to imitate.

I liked pinterest.com but found it kinda like an organized facebook wall ... saw something cute clicked on it thinking there'd be more info on how to do it and it was just a bigger version of what was there.... but it is a cool concept. Thanks for those links Dreamalittledream!

Kelly if you are looking at other peoples pins - than you have to click the pin again to get it to take you to the original site with the instructions ...first click just takes you to the board they pinned it to - next click to the original source on line ... I love Pinterest it is an awesome bookmarking tool cause I am a visual learner and so seeing the pic reminded me what I liked about something I bookmarked.

I used to be a googler too cause it was faster than trying to look through all my bookmarks and remember which one had the idea I was remembering ~ but with pinterest I just have all my boards divided into areas like each of the Seasons and specific Special Occasions and than 'open ended material invitations and creative explorations' and so forth.

If you prefer URLs to Pinterest here are a few of my favorite websites and blogs where I get ideas for pinning for later!
