    Things are looking up!

So the last few weeks Ive posted about trying to fill my last spot...had 2 interviews in Novemeber. One went ok but they didnt want to pay deposit ugh ok so that didnt work. Second family just wasnt a good fit. Had a good talk with my hubby and decided to stop stressing about it and just enjoy the holidays..... since this morning I have gotten 4 calls looking for dc in the new year! YES

    yay that's great for you.

same here, i have one great interview, the kids came with them and loves me, even hug me as they leave for home. hubby said it was good and probably they will pick me.

one week pass, and never hear from them on the day i set for accept/refuse. i know i have providers with very low rates in the area, so maybe that was the deciding factor. like you, i was stress over it. but hubby said............clie nt will come soon and hopefully he is right. \;0
If they whine, give them cheese. If they're not hugable, hug yourself. (me)

That is what I am hoping for too is to find someone who realizes January is coming closer than they realized and needs to get it out of the way before Christmas gets busy. Have had two interviews last week too. Neither would be high on my list of ideal children. One I would accept if they asked though the other not desperate enough myself yet.

My two I started in the Fall are coming along nicely. One is walking well and the other one is considering it but taking his time. Both are mostly fingerfeeding and using a cup with minimal help. Glad I waited to fill the third spot as these two took a long time to reach any semblance of independence. A lot longer than I am use to for sure. Besides I want to have one of them on the different school year so I don't face all of them leaving the same year again.

angelina and playfelt- i felt the same as you two. I took 2 dck (siblings) I wasnt thrilled about and now Im stuck with them until September. I vowed this last spot I would find a family I was really happy about, but Its taken longer than I thought....crossing fingers these 4 interviews go well and someone will be that last spot!

Good for you! Sometimes I think you are more likely to get what you need when you stop looking! So glad for the calls, hope you get a really great family! Out of four calls you can afford to be picky!

That's amazing! Good luck with filling the space. It's the feast or famine rule. When you are full you keep getting calls and when you are getting crazy over filling a space it takes forever sometimes.
