We worked on our Ornaments this week .... kids did the handprint and I did the 'snowman painting' with their input on the colors for hats and scarves ... turned out awesome ... admit of all our handprint ornaments we do over the years to chart their little hand growth each holiday ~ the snowman family are my favorite!
So anyone else want to share what they have been up to with their kiddies for gifts for mom and dad?
I figure if we can share photos than we can 'pin' new ideas for other years for the Pinterest hoarders among us
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

For some reason I can't post a picture on here...love the snowman family! This year I took a clear ornament ball with their name & year on it. Inside put a double sided picture of them; one earlier in the year, one now (neat to see the changes), a tiny piece of their artwork and beads, strips of ribbon that they chose and put inside.
Children are great imitators.
So give them something great to imitate.
Dream ~ I always have to use Photobucket to share photos on here cause it wont let me do it directly either?

Littlefeet, I love that! what medium did you use? My baby can't do a lot of some of the crafts the older children are doing but he could do that.
See, I like the children to make their crafts so this is the kind of thing I love. I don't like to send crafts home where I've done all the work, that just doesn't seem right to me and I know when my kids were small I wanted to see work that they did themselves, not work done by a teacher!
