Snow pants..do you wear them
When you take the kids outside in the winter do you also wear snow pants?
Do you play with the kids or just watch them?
I have a 1 year old who I "help out" in the snow well the other kids play,I am just wondering what everyone else does. I am also trying to decide if I should get myself a pair of snow pants or not.

I just ordered myself some snow pants. I haven't had them the last few years but there are days where we are out doing a bus stop run and the wind is just pelting my legs and my legs feel frozen and I wish I had them.
I just want them for those extra cold days and to be able to go sledding with my own kids sometimes

Yup ~ I have full gear for the Winter ~ just had to buy new boots this year cause my others got trashed when we renovated the basement!
I to be outside all year long and want to share that love with the kiddies ... I do a combination of 'supervision' and helping them to stay engaged out there as needed ~ some children need to be 'role modeled' how to play outside if they have not been going out regularly and sometimes it is nice to just step back and observe as long as they are all engaged as I do not want to interfere in their play naturally unfolding by adding my influence ... kinda like how no one likes a 'boss' that hovers over top of ya checking on your work all the time and trying to do it for ya instead of letting you figure it out ~ most of us prefer a boss who sets up the work environment with proper resources to ensure you can thrive at your job and than steps back and observes from a respectable distance until they see you need support and gives feedback only when needed
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

LOL ... yup I do not care how I look when outside I want to be warm!
I am bad cause I do not like being 'hot' either so I end up needing 3 pairs of pants ... wind pants without a lining to keep me dry in Fall and Spring, wind pants with thin lining for when it is 'cool' but not cold and there is no snow yet ~ aka right now cause we are like 4 degrees today but the wind is cool and than I have full out ski pants.
I also have a collection of 'themed' hats that REALLY get me looks ... Cookie Monster, Grouch, Lion, Cat and so forth ... if I am going to get hat head might as well have fun doing so

I'm a skiier so I do have snow pants, but I find my running pants from The Running Room are usually good enough. They are wind-proof and somewhat waterproof, and I wear thermal underwear underneath yoga pants.

I don't have snowpants, but I am planning to buy some this year as I am tired of being cold! I play a bit with the kids...as Reggio said, sometimes they don't seem to know what to do. or I pull the babies around in a sled to keep them happy. I tend to live in yoga pants, so I get cold without snowpants!
