Having another monday! but im glad they are going home at the end of the day.

So this morning i had trouble getting up i got up at 6:15 rushed around because usually my first dk comes in at that time. I usually get up at 5:30 "wake up " get my husband up for work (the alarm doesnt wake him up) so i rush to get a text at 645 that my first dk is on her way 1/2 hour late no big deal. But i wish they could of called when they knew they were going to be late so i dont have to rush. I go and check my fb this morning i see moms status off today baking baking baking. Grrrr!

The my second dk comes in late as well 7 shes usually here 7:30 she gets here. Shes older shes pulls out oatmeal. I had told mom that i dont do breakfast here because i dont have time to do breakfast. Why dont parents relize that i go out of there way to take care of there kid. Im brunt i cant wait till the hoildays and i can focus on my kids and family.

Sounds like you need a cyber coffee chat and vent LOL! Thank goodness for this forum. It is our "Cyber Water Cooler" that we all need to vent, discuss, laugh.

I used to get so annoyed when parents had the day off and chose to send their child to care anyway. Now, I don't want to know. They pay me to do a service, which I do. I don't need to know if they are off to the spa, getting their hair done or spending time at home to catch up on baking for the holidays. Try not to let it get to you. Hard I know, but what are you going to do. I'm sure their little ones would love to spend the day with mom baking. Her loss. That would have made some good family memories.

Hope the rest of your day goes more smoothly. Are you closing for the entire week of Christmas? Enjoy the break and lets hope we can all recharge our batteries over the holidays. this is a very difficult (and often) unappreciative job that we are doing.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
