    Where is the volume button???

due to today's teachers strike I have the opportunity to look after my before and after school kids all day.

I like my little routine with my little kids. They're all so quiet, they just play, follow direction, they don't run around.

The big kids, run, thump, yell, hide, OMG! Go Fish turned into a full body contact game this morning. Did I mention it's not even 9am?

How do I ever get through the summer?

It's going to be a long day!

LOL we get through the summer by tossing the bigger kids outside! I would get out the play dough, perhaps some lego and get them to draw pictures of what they would like Santa to bring them if they are good at daycare Good luck, and remember to inforce some quiet time in the afternoon soon you can relax. Good luck.

ha ha, totally feel your pain. I got so tired of the "older kid craziness" that I decided to forgo any and all requests for older kid care, even before and after school care. It's just for the day...right? Gosh I hope the strike doesn't last longer!!! i feel for you apples, I really do!

Ha, I'm very lucky because my daughter occupies my before/after very well. So, for the most part, they are up playing in her room. But when they're downstairs... oh my! So LOUD! I actually took the little kids outside and left the big ones in just to escape it. LOL

Oh well, just for one day. I took on this one when I opened over a year ago and I just can't shake her. lol I've done a complete turnover except for this one. But she's only part time so it's on a few days a week. Just happens that one of the days fell on the strike day. Oh well... some extra cash I wasn't expecting is always nice.

Apples & Bananas, you're a genius. Wouldn't it be wonderful if children had a mute option just to use once in a while?

It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
