    Wearing Scrubs in Daycare?

    Hey all!

I am considering wearing nice scrubs in my daycare (patterned etc.) has anyone ever considered this? My nice clothes don't fell so nice when they get boogers and poop on them ! hahah!

    Would love your thoughts!

Dressing for our job is key ~ if scrubs are comfortable and clean and professional looking go for it!

I basically have two wardrobes one for 'work' and one for weekend or after hours ... my work clothes are yoga / stretchy type pants and comfortable loose fitting cotton or no wrinkle tops that allow me to be able to get down to the children's level and not be concerned about getting paint or what not on them ... I want to look professional but also the PRATICAL

We do not expect the plumber to show up in a three piece suit to do his job ...however I do not want him showing up in ripped or really dirty coveralls either .. it is that BALANCE in life about being clean, tidy and dressed for the job!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

All about comfort here too I spend my days in yoga pants or capri track pants and t-shirts. If they get dirty oh well. I spend most of my day on the floor playing with the kiddos so jeans or dressy clothes just don't work for me. I save those for my 'out of the house' time

Sure, why not? Scrubs are uniforms. I like my jeans and nice comfortable tops but I would wear scrubs, no problem. Except that my last job was at a medical lab for 10 years and it was NOT a good experience so I threw all my scrubs away with good riddance!

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
