    I survived ;0)

Well I survived but ... I am soooooooooooo tired haha. Today I was transitionning 2 one year olds. Did not get much of a break at all. One was having a really hard time even after being here 2 half days last week. He seemed to need me to be beside him all of the time. He ate well, thank goodness but only slept 45 minutes. The other one did well expect nap times. I felt like I was not able to get any activity done with the older ones. I know this will only be temporary but still, I would like to be able to spend a bit more time with the older ones that I have today.

This is going to be a looooooooooooooong and hard week. Any tips you have when transitionning 2 new kids at once ? Keep in mind I also have my own 2 kids and 2 other daycare kids in the age group almost 2 and over.

Thanks in advance for the help !

Oh wow! You are a much stronger woman then I am. I have transitioned 2 close to each other, but not at the exact same time!

I have no advise, but I will pray for you! I hope they move the transition along quickly.

You are brave. I guess I would keep the 2 newbies in the same room for naptime but otherwise I'm sure you will be wonderful. Are they screamers? That would be bad because one would get the other one going and that will take longer for them to settle down. I wouldn't want to do it!

I wish you luck and patience and quiet restorative weekends!

Well when I first interviewed one family, the start date was suppose to be December ... So yeah I was not happy when I contacted them to get a definite start date and they said they decided on January but I let it slide.

Anyway, the kids all slept in the same room, the new little ones fell asleep quickly it was one of my 'regulars' who started to cry for some reason. He has been with me for Sept. but does have sleep issues here and there. I stay firm on the nap and he eventualy goes back to his routine. He was away for so long for the holidays, so I think that coud be it. He ended up waking everyone ...but all stayed in their beds until nap time was over.

Anyway I only have my regulars plus my little guy that is having a hard time settling today. Will see how it goes. He does nap in the AM but yesterday did not has the other one year old was keeping him up. I should be able to get something done with the older ones while he sleeps and I hope I get to go outside sometime today. We usually go in the AM but now the little one sleeps... Well guess I gotta give it sometime before I find my groove again.

Even if yesterday was very difficult on me, if I look at each little individual's day, it was still pretty good. I am soooo sleeping it off this weekend

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
