I do believe community service hours can be used in a home daycare as it is not normally a paid position. Seeing that legally you cant have more than 5 children in a daycare in a home and normally you wouldnt hire help, then if a student volunteers to assist with activities to enhance the program then it would count as community service..ie volunteering to run am group games from 9-11 assist with splashpad / outings, and or walking children to and from school (as that is not normally part of daycare services, that is an extra service that can be considered volunteer unless that person is paid for that additional service of getting kids to /from school).
