Daycare will become his stable place in the sense that it is the same everyday and he will likely come to thrive on the schedule. You will get to know things like one parent lets him stay up a bit longer or gives him a less than stellor breakfast, etc and you learn to adapt - make up for his lot in life in a sense but not to the extreme of course.

How long have the parents been separated in the sense has the child already mastered the back and forth. If yes than adapting to daycare should be easier as he already knows the rules can be different in different places.

I have a child in my daycare who has separated parents and it hasn't been an issue.

Kind of scary to read all the dire warnings. I haven't had an issue at all. Everything seems to be worked out behind the scenes on who picks up when and then the mom informs me that the dad is picking up which days etc.

Mom pays me and is the one who claims the tax receipt.

I have heard some of the personal stories from the mom on how she had to go to court for money but it has never been used as an excuse not to pay...more or less something she was venting about or making small talk. I have never been given a sob story about non payment in any way.

The girl made me sad at first because she would bring me lots of books to read from the book basket about daddies and it was sad to see that she knew she missed dad even when she couldn't talk yet....but really no issues at all.

It sounds like your set of parents are very amicable if they can go to an interview side by side. It sounds like they are putting the child first just like they should ....
