Same here. If your regularly scheduled care day falls on a stat, I am paid.

Question: If a client knows you are below ratio for the following, say, Thursday, what would you do if they asked for it in lieu of the holiday Monday? I had this happen to me once last year. The mom said, well I know you only have three on Thursday, so since I am paying for three days this week, why can't I send DCG on Thursday to make up for Monday when you're closed?

    What would you do then?

Politely explain to them that unfortunately the FULL TIME clients who had to pay me for the stat holiday as well do not get that perk to 'make up the day at no additional cost' so therefore it is not fair to offer it to a part time client. However if you would like to pick up an extra day at the FEE of X than you are more than welcome if you have things you need to do ~ I sure could use the extra income because having that Thursday space sitting open due to your part time schedule sure is eating into the daycare budget. It would be nice to have it filled for a week
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
