I second this... and what everyone else is saying.
Sure, meet with her. It must be tough to find a childcare arrangement when you are not in the same town.
But no guarantees until you meet everyone and have all the right paperwork in hand.

I will just let the grandmother know i have other interviews lined up. Who knows maybe the mom will find a way to get to Ottawa this weekend, if she thinks she might lose the spot. then again the grandmother might to like my daycare. But that just means there is someone better for the spot just waiting to find me.

This is a good decision. Meeting the grandmother is a preliminary interview, but you can't possibly make any promises without meeting the parents and the child. But the rule is that the first people who sign the contracts and pay the deposit and MEET WITH OUR APPROVAL are the people who get the space.

So the grandmother came and the whole interview lasted all of 10 min. She said that my website had already answered all their question, she just want to see the place and meet me. She also mentioned that I was the 6th daycare she had visited. Her daughter will be in town on Feb 4th.

She seemed very happy with everything. Who knows. Lets hope I fill the spot soon, with the right family, whom ever they might be.

That's great news. It's always nice to have a nice quick interview... who knows how mom will be though eh? Hopefully the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree on this one.

I would interview as well. When I'm filling space I interview everyone. You never know who will work out to be amazing!
