    Naptime improved !

Yeah after 4 weeks of cahos at naptime, my 2 little screamers slept. Well one slept 30 minutes but the other almost 1 1/2 hour. It,s not perfect but it's progress !!

    Whoot Whoot for progress!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

I always felt bad letting them cry but deep down I knew that's what needed to be done. Hope for an even better naptime tomorrow so I can stop feeling guilty and sooooooooooo tired. I need a quiet break so bad.

Crafty, I'm hoping things keep going in the right direction for you. No quiet time for the caregiver is exhausting. Do you have the children bring a cuddle and small blanket from home so that it smells like home when they are in their beds? That's my favourite weapon for settling new dckids.

Yes Momof4 they do have their blankie or lovie. I think it does help. When they start here I do the 5-10-15 when they are having a difficult time during nap. It's normal for them to feel unsure about things ... but when they do just fine during daytime and meal time then I think they need to learn to sleep and sooth on their own. So that's what has been happening for the past 4 weeks. Anyway when we do see progress no matter how little it just feels so good ! Today I felt like the best daycare provide EVER and just yesterday I was looking at job adds LOL. Ok maybe not that extreme but you all know what I"m talking about I'm sure.
