Did you tell them you are changing your schedule and give them the option of changing their srop-off time? What if they tell you they can change the drop-off time and now you have already filled the spot? Just curious....but maybe it's because the family is not a good fit anyway?

No, sunny days i didnt tell them about changing my hours. I had asked about it in the beginning and they were firm on their hours. one works downtown and the other even further away. if for some reason they offer to change their hours I will have to say that there are other reasons and that it just doesnt feel like the right fight. They arrive an hour and a half before my next arrival and there is no way that they could do an 8am drop in the morning and they are my last pick up as well at 530/545. I'm tired of the little "digs" that mom makes and she is inconsiderate. she texts to say that she's picking up early at 3 or someting so i get dcg ready and she doesnt show up till 4. she does not communicate with me in any other way than by text or email which always leaves room for misinterpretation. I dont want to hurt feelings so i will use the morning drop off as the main reason and hope that i dont have to get into the rest.

NOOOOO! You do NOT have to bite your tongue. You should be telling them that you would have appreciated the phone call yesterday so you could have slept a bit longer. I would tell them!

I wouldn't work those long hours either, especially for just one client! That's a long day!

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
