Here we go again

16 monthold dcg who doesnt sleep had a great week last week, even sleeping beyond the 2 hours a couple times. this week is a nightmare. I have been as consistent as i can be. sometimes she is up alot in the night and will not make it through the morning without a nap so Ihave no choice but on days when she slept well, she does okay making it through the morning. I've moved bedtime up a little to compensate for no morning nap. Mom hasnt nursed to sleep in over 3 weeks, I have mom bring a shirt of hers to sleep with, the sound machine is on the same as at home and trust me she was tired. she was quiet for nearly an hour and screaming for an hour. the room is dark just like at home, same routine for naptime, uggh i give up. Am i missing anything?

time. Let her cry it out...or do 5-10-15 with no contact. Just a simple go back to sleep and leave. Time will cure this. She'll figure out soon enough that there's no point and get on a better sleep schedule....

Oh I do let her cry it out. she's been with me since October so she should have figured it out by now. she can cry without stopping for 2 hours or more. weird thing is that she's laying down snuggled with moms shirt (i peeked in) I also bought padding for under the playpen sheet thinking that she was uncoomfortable. I dont want to have to get rid of this family, i really have a great connection with them but she either needs to sleep or lay quietly.

Greets Gramma...I was wondering how your little 16mo DCG was adjusting.

She's having a set back this week. IF you can keep your sanity, keep doing what you are doing. Eventually she will have less setbacks and adjust. You are probably going to have a lot of bumps in the road though. She sounds very fiesty I hope the family is worth it.

thanks other mummy, yes the family is worth it. I just love them and i know that we are working together on it. mom was totally on board with the CIO method which alot of moms arent. i hope your right about less and less setbacks.

Doesn't sound like there is anymore that you can do, truthfully.
And I don't mean give up! The opposite actually. I would stick this out, if it's a good family. I will do waaaay more for a family I "click" with, than one I don't.
