Om my did not realize she is FOUR ... ya so old enough to knock manipulative behavior like that off ... I assumed this was a toddler without language we were talking about!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."

This is going to sound mean but I would probably hold her nose and say, let me help you, some air might get in through your nose. I bet that would shock her and teach her a lesson. It's time somebody calls her on her ridiculous behaviour and shows her that she isn't upsetting you at all and she isn't going to accomplish anything with that trick. She isn't going to faint and she is going to breathe again when she has to, but obviously her parents are panicking and she knows it works on them. I am so glad I don't have school aged children in my daycare.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
