I have done overnight care for some time under contract and independantly, absolutely should be paid more whether it is only 10 hours or not.... any time after 6 or before 6/7am should be charged more... and for overnight you will be the one up with the child it is your sleep that will be disturbed, or assorted other things that happen during the night. To know someone will answer the calls and reassure a child keeping them comfy and safe... well base rate would be under 10 hours and s/b $70.00 after that set an hourly rate you are comfortable with. There is very little availability of providers for this type of care so that should be considered when you set your price.
