Yes, as long as there are never more than 5 kids at any one time in your home, then you can have as many as you want. You just have to make sure they never overlap. http://www.ccprn.com/en/information-...ry-guidelines/

Exactly ~ my first year I was with a licensed agency and I had 1 full time child and 9 children sharing my remaining 4 spots in the program ... so at any one time in the day I only had 5 children present as none of them were ever year overlapping!

I was stupid that year and even had one child who came in the morning Monday ~ Friday 8-12:30 and another child who came in the afternoon M/W/F 12:30 - 4:30 in that spot cause mom was desperate for a FT spot and picked up everything I had open so the child came T/Th full days and the others half days until the morning child moved out of program and she snatched up a full time spot! I will never do a space sharing like this again because there were a few times where morning mom was late picking up or afternoon mom early dropping off and I had to make they 'wait' in order not to be over ratio ~ thankfully they were always good about it and not pissy but it was stressful for ME. Plus while the little girl was awesome coming in and basically going right to quiet time it did not feel 'fair' to her to do that so I would never do just afternoons again either!!!
Children construct their own intelligence. The adult must provide activities and context, but most of all must be able to listen. Children need proof that adults believe in them. Their three great desires are to be listened to, to understand, and to demonstrate that they are exactly what we expect."
