    Way to go moms!

Just a shout out to all the moms who still have their own little guys in their home daycares. Not an easy job! I did it for 4 years, and now have them both in school and my stress level has gone down about a gizzillion percent. Yesterday they were home "faking sick" and I was reminded of what my life used to be. I'm sure appreciating it being back to quiet only other people's kids today!

Keep up the good work moms with kids in your daycare. One day they'll be in school and your daycare will actually be yours to run!

I so agree gcj! My daughter is in school so during the day I am working at my job. For those who have their little ones with them they are doing double duty as parent and working their job at the same time. Kudo's to you all and thanks gcj for bringing this up.

agree here too! stress is ten fold when my two are home from school, in the summer it takes me a good few weeks to get used to their "issues" and the day care "issues" all rolled into one big stressful ball! Things definitely got easier when my own went off to school. I only wear one hat now.....back then I had the "Mom hat" and the "Daycare Hat", hard being two people at once!

I loved reading this...gave me some light at the end of the tunnel. I too look forward to just being a caregiver. Being mommy and caregiver is tough sometimes!

oh, there is light at the end of the tunnel, Fun&care. It's beautiful! I can't believe that I'm already there. It seemed never-ending, but in hindsight, I can't believe I made it! You're giving them a beautiful gift!

Oh geez it's bittersweet. My oldest will be starting school in September. Altough sometimes I wish she was already in shcool as well as my 2 y/o. Oh boy whitout them during daycare hours this job would be a breeze MOST days. However, I think she is still too young and it's too early and I feel like time just flew by. I am so anxious about her starting shcool but I am also super excited.

I was worried about missing them and lacking motivation...like I was putting so much effort and not even for my own guys. While I do occassionally miss them, we're doing just fine on our own....well, I did go out and get a puppy after the first week of school so I'd have my own "baby" here with me!

I get to find out what its like with my children in school full time in September In a way I think it's going to be a bit weird without my own children here and just having daycare kids. My oldest is already in school but my youngest starts in September, I am anxious about the little one going

I have a year and a half to go before my youngest goes to school. Sometimes I look forward to it as I know it will be much easier...but many days I think I am going to miss her so much and I am unsure of how I will feel when she is gone all day My own kids definitely make my days a million times harder and give me way more trouble than the others, but at the same time, I am so happy to be here for them and nto miss anything. I am sure when she is 4 I will feel as ready as I did when her brother started school, but for now, I am trying to survive and enjoy this time all at once
