    New contract

    Hi everyone,
I recently redid my contract and I added 6 personal/sick days paid per year- but now I feel kind of quilty, I haven't had to hand it out yet but curious if any of you have
paid vacation or personal/sick paid days!

    thanks

I have 7 paid personal days and 10 paid vacation days...no complaints here, but they all started with that when they signed on with me(well I increased the personal days from 5 to 7 last year, but that was a small increase). I guess it depends what the norm is in your area more than anything.

I get 10 paid sick days, 10 paid personal days and 2 weeks vacation paid. No one has questioned it.

I already have 10 paid vacation days but never had personal/sick days, as they never paid if I took a day off.
    thanks ladies for your input

As its not the norm in my area, I do not charge for personal days or vacation. However, to compensate this I did do a rate increase in january for all new clients. this worked out beneficially for me as i am losing 3 dck in september to kindergarten so all new clients will be at higher rate.

I am in Alberta, just north of Calgary. I have 10 paid vacation days and 4 paid personal days in the calendar year. I think that is normal, and have not had anyone question it.
From what I have gathered in my area, you can charge the higher end of the fee scale if you do not get paid for vacation days, etc. I am right in the middle of the fee scale, and that is because I account for the fact that I will have paid days off.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
